Valpolicella, Veneto, Italy
Pietro Sartori purchased his first vineyard in Negrar in 1898. Through four generations Sartori have remained in Valpolicella near Verona producing wine from classic Italian grape varieties. Innovation and tradition go hand in hand with Sartori from reviving historical varieties to leading organic viticulture and screw-cap bottling.
Sartori combined estate vineyards with long term relationships with key vineyard growers across the breadth of Veneto, from the southern side of Lake Garda in the west to the Monte Alabano state in Friuli in the east.
Sartori create modern wines with excellent purity of fruit and acidity. Small batches of hand harvested grapes are given a slow fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel before maturation on lees to build texture and complexity.
